Soothing Left Nostril Breathing

Soothing Left Nostril Breathing

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan Breathing through the left nostril Increases lunar energy, the cleansing, cooling, receptive, calming, sensitive, empathic energy of the moon. When you are feeling overanxious and nervous, sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine. Block the right nostril with the thumb of the right hand. Keep the other fingers straight up like antennae. Take 26 long, deep, and complete breaths through the left nostril. Then inhale and relax. This will soothe you and bring you to a calm state. © The Teachings of Yogi Bhajan

My name is Gurudein Singh, I’m from Chile. My favorite Kundalini practice is Ishnaan: Waking up in the morning and taking a cold shower. Even when it’s like super difficult and you’re like freezing and everything. In the beginning it’s going to be super cold, but the after feeling is like, ‘I like it’ and I like want to keep on having it. So every time I finish in my shower I want to like come back to the cold shower to the cold water, and it gives me energy. It wakes me up and it’s a good way to…

Your Favorite Practice: 2.5 Hours of Long Ek Ong Kar/The Morning Call

Transcript: “Sat Nam. My name is Dhyan Gobind Singh. I’ve been a Kundalini Yoga practitioner for over a decade. Overall, my favorite Kundalini Yoga practice, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is the Morning Call, Long Ek Ong Kar, particularly for the full time of two and a half hours before the rising of the sun. This has profound effects. Overall, I’ve found that it really opens my voice, opens my navel, and connects me to my inherent power. So I enjoy this practice, and I’m happy to share that with you. Sat Nam.”
