Visa and entry requirements
Traveling internationally to the United States for Winter Solstice? Please review your immigration and entry requirements well before purchasing nonrefundable travel.
Depending on your nationality and individual circumstances, you may need:
- A valid passport
- A B-2 or B1/B2 visitor visa
- An approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization, known as ESTA
- Additional documents required by the United States or a country through which you are transiting
Citizens or nationals of eligible countries may be able to travel under the Visa Waiver Program for visits of 90 days or less. Travelers using the Visa Waiver Program must receive ESTA approval before boarding transportation to the United States.
Requirements vary by nationality and can change. Always consult the official U.S. Department of State and U.S. Customs and Border Protection websites for the most current information.
If you need a visa
Begin the application process as early as possible.
Visa appointment availability and processing times vary significantly by country, embassy, season, and individual application. Do not rely on a fixed processing estimate.
You may be asked to provide:
- A valid passport
- A completed visa application
- Evidence explaining the purpose of your visit
- Proof that you can cover your travel expenses
- Evidence of your intention to leave the United States after your visit
- Details about your accommodation and travel plans
- Additional documentation requested by the U.S. Embassy or Consulate
Travel arrangements should not be considered final until your required travel authorization has been approved.
Need an invitation letter?
3HO can provide an official invitation letter confirming your registration for the 3HO Winter Solstice Sadhana Celebration 2026.
An invitation letter may support your visa application, but it does not replace any required visa, ESTA approval, passport, financial documentation, or other immigration requirement.
To request a letter, email:
Please include:
- Your full legal name exactly as it appears on your passport
- Your nationality
- Your passport number, only if specifically requested through an approved and secure process
- A copy or screenshot of your Winter Solstice registration confirmation
- Any deadline provided by the embassy or consulate
Please allow sufficient time for your request to be processed.
Passport validity
As a general rule, international visitors should travel with a passport valid for at least six months beyond their planned stay in the United States. Some nationalities may be exempt from the six-month requirement.
Check the rules that apply specifically to your passport before traveling.
Also review any transit visa requirements if your itinerary includes a connection through another country.
Important: Final admission into the United States is determined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry. A visa, ESTA authorization, registration confirmation, or invitation letter does not guarantee admission.
Important: Entry to the U.S. is determined by border officials. Having a visa or an invitation letter does not guarantee admission.
