Teach at Solstice

Share Your Light at the 3HO Solstice Sadhana Celebration

So just understand, with the grace of being a Kundalini Yoga teacher there’s a vastness of your heart which must go with it. Yogi Bhajan. July 26, 1996

Every Solstice, our global sangat gathers to practice, heal, and rise into a new cycle of consciousness. At the center of this sacred gathering stands the Teacher—someone who offers wisdom with humility, serves with devotion, and guides with clarity. When you teach at Solstice, you do more than lead a class. You become part of a living tradition that uplifts individuals and strengthens our collective spirit.

Only KRI-certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers are eligible to teach at Solstice.

What It Means to Be a Teacher at Solstice

A Teacher at Solstice does more than deliver information. You hold space that allows people to move through inner thresholds. Because of this, your presence becomes part of their transformation. As you share kriyas, meditations, and Aquarian teachings, you help participants reconnect to their vitality and intuition.

Most importantly, you offer practices that prepare them for a deeper relationship with themselves—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Therefore, every class becomes a moment where insight meets experience.

Besides that, Solstice Teachers collaborate closely with the Program Team to ensure their offering aligns with the overall flow of the gathering. This teamwork helps create a harmonious schedule where every session builds toward a unified intention.

Teaching Opportunities

You may choose the format that best reflects your strengths and your connection to the theme of the year.

Lecture Class

A Lecture Class invites participants into deeper understanding. You will offer a 60- to 90-minute session focused primarily on teaching and inspiration. While your presentation is mainly lecture-based, you may include a short meditation to integrate the learning. This option is ideal for Teachers who communicate concepts with clarity and want to spark reflection.

Kriya & Meditation Class

A Kriya & Meditation Class gives participants a powerful embodied experience. In this session, most of the time is devoted to practice, allowing you to guide a complete kriya and a closing meditation that supports the year’s theme. Because the class lasts 60–90 minutes, you have space to build momentum, elevate energy, and support emotional release.

Aquarian Sadhana Kriya

Teaching an Aquarian Sadhana Kriya is a sacred responsibility. Therefore, we ask that Teachers in this category already have experience leading Aquarian Sadhana in person. Your guidance helps set the energetic tone of the day and strengthens the communal discipline that makes Solstice so unique.

Event Teaching Participation Statement

Dear members of our community,

We are grateful for the many teachers and practitioners who feel inspired to share the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, Sikh Dharma, and the 3HO lifestyle through our events and gatherings. Your dedication and commitment to these teachings are an essential part of what sustains and enriches our global community.

Our intention in designing each event program is to offer participants a meaningful, coherent, and transformative experience of the teachings. In alignment with the spirit in which these teachings were given, our focus is always to serve the teachings themselves rather than any individual personality. The program is therefore designed each year with the intention of creating a balanced and comprehensive experience of the teachings in their depth and breadth for all participants.

Each event is designed with its own program architecture in order to best serve the experience of the participants. In some years the schedule may include multiple parallel classes, while in other years the format may emphasize a single shared teaching space.

To support this intention, all teaching proposals are reviewed through a group process by the Event Programming Committee. In order to preserve the integrity and independence of the program process, teaching invitations are extended through the committee’s group discernment. This shared approach allows decisions to be made thoughtfully and independently, always with the intention of serving the teachings and the participants as a whole.

In shaping the program, the committee may consider a variety of elements, including the thematic focus of the event, the overall architecture of the program, depth of experience and mastery of the subject being taught, the ability to communicate and transmit the teachings effectively, demonstrated spirit of service within the community, personal coherence with the teachings being shared, the needs of participants, and the intention of maintaining a healthy balance between experienced teachers and emerging voices that bring fresh energy and meaningful contributions to the sangat, among other considerations.

Our events are a collective effort and an expression of service from the Sangat, to the Sangat. Teaching is only one of the many ways in which members of the community contribute to the success of these gatherings. Not all valuable contributions take place from the teaching stage.

We deeply value the continued presence, participation, and support of all members of the community, regardless of whether they are teaching in a particular year.

With this in mind, it is also important to note that the program is designed holistically each year, and therefore participation as a teacher in one event does not automatically imply participation in future events. Each proposal is considered within the context of the program as a whole and in relation to the specific needs of that particular gathering.

In the tradition of our teachings, we remember that the depth and power of the experience arise from the teachings themselves and from the presence and communion of the sangat, rather than from any individual role within the program.

We thank you sincerely for your willingness to serve, for the spirit of dedication you bring to this shared path, and for engaging in this process with generosity and a genuine spirit of service.

With gratitude,

3HO Event Programming Committee
