Rebirthing Meditation

Burn off all the negativity, shame, and guilt of the past and the present. Rebirth yourself with this meditation and feel bright, light, positive and hopeful.

Before you begin your practice, tune-in by chanting the mantra Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo

The Practice

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Eyes: Close the eyes and focus at the Brow Point.

Breath: Inhale powerfully through the mouth with puckered lips. Exhale powerfully through puckered lips. Use big, fairly fast breaths. Suck the air in so that your cheeks come in a little bit. Then blow it out powerfully.

If you find yourself getting really spaced-out doing this breath technique, stop and do long, slow, deep breathing.

Time

Continue for 2 minutes. Then inhale, exhale and relax the breath.
