To be able to truly listen, and to act on what we know, we need inner security. Otherwise, even though certain arguments or suggestions may be rational and positive, they are hard to hear and to act on.
By working on the head and the heart center, this meditation helps create that necessary inner balance to get past the fear that blocks your ability to actually listen to another person. It also helps release old emotions by stimulating the brain stem. When these blocks of fear and emotion are clear, you are able to express yourself truly and listen to another person clearly.
As you meditate, imagine a million people sitting before you. You have come before them to elevate their consciousness and their lives. They depend on you. You listen to every heartbeat and frequency. You are confidently radiant, and take each thought to Infinity.
Before you begin your practice, tune-in by chanting the mantra Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo
How to chant the mantra Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo
Sit in Easy Pose with your spine straight. Press your palms together in Prayer Pose at the center of the chest, sides of the thumbs pressed against the sternum. With your eyes closed, focus your concentration at the Third Eye Point located between the eyebrows at the root of the nose, about a half inch under the skin. Inhale deeply and as you exhale chant Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, on one breath. The sound Dev is chanted a minor third higher than the other sounds. If you cannot chant it all on one breath, take a short breath after Ong Namo. Repeat the mantra three times.
