Psyche of the Mother Meditation

This is a beautiful meditation for invoking the psyche of the Mother was given by Yogi Bhajan at KWTC (Khalsa Women’s Training Camp) on July 11, 1986.  It can be practiced regardless of whether you have biological children.

Experience what a Mother does. Imagine there’s a baby cradled in your arms. With each inhale you are caring for it. Each time you inhale the cradle rises up and down very gently. Don’t feel shy. It is very accurate.

Rakhe Rakhanhar is a protection mantra that realigns the mind with the knowledge that everywhere, God is at work. In meditating on this mantra, we release hostility, resentments, and judgments, calling forth the well-being of all. As the Mother would. No matter what

If you are new to this mantra, it may help to see it written before beginning your practice. Your breath will coordinate with the lines of the mantra, so before you start, you should know where the lines begin and end.
