Meditation on Woman as the Ashtabhuja

This is a guided visualization meditation on the image of the eight-armed ashtabhuja, the omniscient and omni-powerful woman to whom God itself bows.

Before you begin your practice, tune-in by chanting the mantra Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo

Part One: Visualization

Posture & Mudra: Sit in Easy Pose. Bring the thumbs to the mound of Mercury and keep the other fingers straight and together. Raise the hands up, palms facing forward, fingertips at the level of the ears.

Eyes: Close your eyes and concentrate at the pituitary gland, fixing the optical nerve at thirty degrees.

Breath: Breathe consciously.

Visualization: Picture eight powerful hands emerging from your shoulders—four on each side. This is the image of the ashtabhuja, the omniscient and omni-powerful woman to whom God bows. Visualize it. Hypnotize yourself and become a creative deity.

Time

Continue for 3 minutes. To end, inhale and hold the breath, tight, for 30 seconds. Exhale and immediately begin Part Two.
