What to bring
Packing thoughtfully will help you feel comfortable, prepared, and grounded during your Solstice journey. Below is a complete checklist of what we recommend bringing—especially if you’re tent camping or traveling from afar.
Essentials for Everyone
- Government-issued Photo ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.) – required at check-in
- Your Registration Confirmation Email – having it on your phone is best
- Close-toed shoes – no sandals for daily use, to protect your feet during Seva and movement
- Layered clothing – days can be warm, but mornings and evenings may be chilly in Florida
- Hooded windbreaker or jacket – for wind and light weather
- Gloves – for cool mornings
- Rain gear – a must, just in case of Florida showers
- Scarf or headcover – for Gurdwara and White Tantric Yoga®
- Flip-flops or shower shoes – for use around camp and in shared showers
- Sheepskin or yoga mat – for sadhana and yoga practice
- Warm blanket, shawl, or coat – perfect for morning sadhana or stargazing nights
- Earplugs – helpful if you’re sensitive to sound or need quiet for sleep
- White cotton clothing and head covering – for White Tantric Yoga®, if attending
- Eco-friendly toiletries – bring everything you need: sunscreen, lip balm, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
- Towel(s) – not provided or sold on-site
- Flashlight or headlamp – with spare batteries
- Water bottle – essential for hydration (prefer reusable and sturdy bottles)
- Cup or travel mug – for yogi tea and other drinks
- Cloth napkins or handkerchiefs – to support a low-waste event
- First aid supplies – band-aids, tweezers, pain relievers, etc.
- Feminine hygiene products – bring enough for the whole stay
- Daypack – to carry your essentials throughout the day (please keep valuables with you; 3HO is not responsible for lost or stolen items)
- Swimsuit – yes, the camp has a lake!
If You’re Tent Camping
- Waterproof tent with rain flap – weather in December can bring heavy rain; please be prepared
- Warm sleeping bag – nights can get cold
- Sleeping pad or mat – for insulation and comfort
If You’re Staying in a Cabin
- Twin sheet set
- Pillow
- Warm blanket or sleeping bag
Pro Tips
- Skip the fragile glass! Please avoid bringing thin glass water bottles that may break during yoga classes. Opt for durable, reusable containers like the 3HO mug instead.
- Flying in from abroad? Sometimes it’s more economical to buy a tent and camping gear in the U.S. than bring it with you. There’s a Walmart just 10 minutes from the site in Leesburg, FL (2501 Citrus Blvd), where you can find affordable tents, sleeping bags, and supplies.
