The Yoga of Selfless Service
Be intent on action; not on the fruits of action.
One of the six major branches of yoga is Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga, also known as selfless service, is not considered 'work' as much as a joyful expression of gratitude, compassionate action, and even as a path towards union with the Divine.
The women who come together for International Women’s Camp as participants, work exchange staff, or scholarship recipients, all take part in some form of selfless service: welcoming you at the registration tent; cooking the food; managing the grounds; painting the signs, and returning the land to its original condition following the event.
All participants to International Women's Camp will join a Karma Yoga group on the first day of camp and will contribute approximately one hour of service daily through the duration of the event. For more information, click here.
