Prana is life energy itself – the life force of your physical body. Prana speaks to us – it tells us when we need to breathe, and when to let the breath go.

Holding the breath (or breath retention) might seem counterintuitive to bringing more life force into your body; but in fact, suspending the breath brings you into a state of more flow.
Just like the heart, breathing happens naturally and automatically, yet unlike the heartbeat, we can change the rate of our breathing at any given moment.
Out of the ten bodies we have, the two that I like to pay particular attention to are the pranic and auric bodies. They are closely tied to our physical and mental health in a way in which most of us are familiar, and in many ways, are our first lines of defense.
