If you have ever felt the sheer joy and pleasure of watching the Winter Olympics, you have probably seen the downhill slalom race. The skiers are poised at the crest of the mountain, and once the green light illuminates they are off on a non-stop, all-consuming sensory experience of speed, balance, and daring. This is what the month of May is like in 2014.
6 Days of Intense Energy
It is as if we are being pulled by an unseen force, making everything around us feel like it is moving at a faster pace. There are 6 points of intense energy surges on the planet this month, and these days are the 5th, 7th, 14th, 16th, 23rd, and 25th. People’s tolerance at these times will be almost nil, so try not to plan important communication or strategy meetings on these days. Timing is everything in May, and if you have ever played miniature golf (which I personally love), there is always one hole where you have to try and hit the ball through the bottom of a windmill, which has the windmill blades rotating before the passage-way. If you don’t time it just right, bouncing back you go!
The ability to time your actions and reactions within the scope of the space is absolutely essential now. We are at a new level of “game,” and there are almost no time-outs.
Freedom and Rebellion
The number 5 represents the themes of freedom, communication, and rebelling against the forces we feel suppressed by. There will be a nearly juvenile expression of, “No, you can’t make me, I’m doing what I want to do!” This will create a lot of interesting drama on the planet.
As this cataclysm of change is upon us, many people, whether 15 or 50 years old, will be having the experience, “What do I want to be when I grow up?” This question will propel many to engage on a personal quest of self-fulfillment. New careers will be launched, paths of education will be started, and some folks will just decide to drop out for a while. This can be a good thing, as there is no sense in selling your Soul to a dead end dumpster.
There is a beautiful song by Bruce Springsteen called “Growing Up.” It is worth watching the video of him as a 23 year old man, not yet famous, filled with the passion of his personal artistry. He so beautifully sings, “I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, when they said, “Sit down!” I stood up. Oooh, Oooh, growing up.” The lyrics resonate with the unfulfilled longing that we are experiencing as a humanity. We know there’s something more out there, we’re just not exactly sure how to get to it. Right now it is about allowing ourselves the freedom to try something new. By the way, Bruce and I are amazing Swing dance partners in a parallel Universe.
There is an undeniable edge to the month of May, and at the same time there exists an electrical kind of magic that will connect people who are striving for the same goals. Creativity is the key to the new kingdom, and as Yogi Bhajan has said in the 5 Sutras of the Aquarian Age, “When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.” It is often the past emotional scripting that blocks us, more so than the environments.
Children will be feeling very rambunctious now, and they will need a lot of exercise and creative projects to work on. If you see an empty cardboard box from a washing machine outside someone’s house grab it, it’s paper gold! Take it home and cut the box open to create a wide canvas. Get a kit of beautiful paint colors, and tell your child, “Okay my darling little one, I want to see your story!” Tell them to paint a mural of where they have been, where they are now, and how they see themselves in the future. Suggest to them, “What does your great self want to do in life?”
Right now, more than ever, children need encouragement and inspiration. It is no longer enough to say, “Eat your vegetables.” Young people need to feel that there is a place in the world which will only be fulfilled by their inspired presence. Lend your light and guidance now, and your later years in life will be bright and happy.
“Creativity, when combined with physical movement, psychological concentration, and meditation, is very helpful. It balances the human energy and it gives strength to the Radiant Body. This brings prosperity and success.”
