Rebirthing Meditation

Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Close the eyes and focus at the Brow Point.

Inhale powerfully through the mouth with puckered lips. Exhale powerfully through puckered lips. Use big, fairly fast breaths. Suck the air in so that your cheeks come in a little bit. Then blow it out powerfully.

If you find yourself getting really spaced-out doing this breath technique, stop and do long, slow, deep breathing.

Continue for 2 minutes.

Inhale, exhale and relax the breath.

Breathe normally. Concentrate at the brow point. Imagine and visualize a flame, like the flame of a candle. Become this flame. Allow this flame, this candle light, to burn off all the negativity, shame, and guilt of the past and the present.

Continue for 2 minutes.

Continue feeling and being that flame, that light, that heat. Allow yourself to become the hope of the future. Illuminate yourself and the whole room. Now inhale, consolidate and align your energy. Feel bright, light, positive and hopeful.

Continue for 1 minute.

Inhale, exhale and relax the breath.

Deeply relax on your back for 7 minutes.
