The month of August is a time when we are renegotiating our sense of personal power in relation to the world at large. Number 8 represents power, and we are now becoming more keenly aware of what is consuming our energy, and if it’s a good deal or not.
This is “get real” time in relation to resetting our boundaries, as well as tuning up our ability to recognize where there’s a blind spot that is allowing for an energy leak. You’re going to need all four cylinders cranking to transit the rest of the year, so let’s take a look at how to synchronize our psyche with the higher powers that would like to bless and guide us on the most protected path.
Number 8 represents the themes of power, energy, control, healing, finances, enthusiasm, and the Air Element. It also represents the lung meridian, and our ability to shake off the negative emotions of grief and disappointment. It is fair to say that most people have had some type of emotional upset this year, and now is the time to get the lungs and physical body working. Don’t let grief set and settle in, or it will become like the sludge at the bottom of a pool, having a dark and murky effect on your state of mind. It is never a good thing when the shadows start talking to you, and slowly begin to take over.
Breathe it out through walking, pranayama, rebounder trampoline, hiking, swimming, cycling, or whatever your personal cup of tea is in the exercise arena. A little bit a day will go a long way toward your mental health and stability.
Speaking of tea, both ginger-honey-lemon tea and mullein leaf tea are said to be cleansing and supportive of lung function. Foods that are beneficial to lung health are apples, beets, pumpkin, tomatoes, and leafy greens. Also, the Bach Flower Essence “Mustard” is said to soothe out and alleviate grief.
When the number 8 goes negative it can have a bullying behavior, and we will certainly be noticing this in the world around us. More children are now starting school in August, so be sure to stay dialed into your child’s energy and mood. Saying something as simple as, “School going okay, are you getting along with the other kids?” can help to flush out a potential bullying situation before it gets out of hand.
The 2017 film “Wonder” is an excellent example of this, and as it stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, it is highly entertaining as well. Along with a PG film rating, it is as safe as the organic hot cocoa you can serve afterward.
The stress and anxiety on the planet is eating people alive, and no matter what form of divination you tap into, it’s not going away any time soon. We need a remedy we can rely on that will keep us above the fray, and in control of our emotions. Without a connection to your own intuitive intelligence, you are vulnerable to being manipulated on many levels.
One of the best ways to gain self-control is by working with your breath. This will ease anxiety and allow for a more smooth and steady flow of energy in your life. So, let’s get back to basics with a pranayama that will heal and energize us. Follow along with the teacher in the “Meditation to Become Disease Free” video, and your day will have a new charge and spark to it. Take that 15 minutes of practice and turn it all around for yourself. By the way, the location setting of the video is enough to take you higher!
Number 8 is the Pranic Body, and a strong Pranic Body allows us to be fearless in the face of challenging times. It also allows us to see the inherent opportunities in these changing times and take charge with a new force and vitality. There are necessary adjustments this month in the areas of home, family, love relationships, and maintaining our immune system health.
All this is because of the appearance of number 6 in the Base calculation (Base is month of 8 + year of 7 = 15 = 6), and number 6 likes to get it right! The themes of perfection and beauty are connected to number 6, and while it is not always a perfectly beautiful world, we will be feeling the need to take the necessary steps and measures toward manifesting a higher love in our lives. This can be as simple as telling a struggling friend, “You know I love you, and I’ve got your back no matter what,” or, telling a child, “Maybe you didn’t win the swim meet, but you’re always Number One in my eyes!” These gentle and genuine forms of encouragement will go a long way towards creating a bridge over troubled water for another human being.
All the more so, as the Heart number (Heart is month of 8 + Gift of 5 = 13) for August is a 13, which is the Power of the Word. Our spoken words will have a greater power to bless and manifest at this time. Now, don’t let yourself fall into the negative polarity of the number 8, which is fear. The way to frame this up is not by thinking, “Oh God, I better watch what I say!” rather, it is better shape-shifted into, “As I speak, so it shall be.”
Now, here’s a real gem of soothing words and comfort. If you, or someone you know, has anxiety and trouble sleeping at night, play this on a loop as you are dozing off. The “Safe Dream Space” song/chant by Beautiful Chorus is a giant chill pill against stress and has an immediate relaxing effect on the heart. You can’t go wrong by dialing this in for yourself. Our skill set needs to improve and expand with the times, and often simple is best. By adding a few extra ingredients into your day, you are mixing it up just enough to gain an edge and extra footing.
Speaking of footing, make sure your shoes and footwear are in order for the remainder of the year. The overall number for 2023 is a 7, and number 7 is the Water Element. This 7 will strengthen in September, October, November, and December, creating a “slippery effect” in the environments. This can have the effect of creating loose footing on some surfaces. You can diminish this effect by keeping your own pacing and rhythm, and by not letting anyone or anything force you to accelerate out of your comfort zone. The more you work with this concept, the more it will begin to make sense.
P.S. I almost didn’t include this last bit of info, as I was concerned it might sound a bit goofy. Then, out of nowhere, one of those higher Angelic voices swooped in and said, “No, tell them!”
