Excerpts from I Am a Woman: Essential Kriyas for Women in the Aquarian Age
The principle and the power of the mother is within every woman, because whether she has children or not, she gives birth to creation after creation. Bearing a child simply awakens this primal power of transformation.
Being a mother is the most powerful creative act you can undertake. The sacrifice involved and the journey your soul takes with this child can never be understood until you've done it. As a mother you can create an angel or a demon. When the child is in the womb, the frequency and strength of your nervous system will determine the health and vitality of the child's mental, physical and spiritual bodies.
Your prayer will attract the soul that enters your being; therefore, the decision and the commitment to become a vessel for a new life is a most sacred act.
Meditation lays the foundation for becoming a mother and gives you the tools for the journey. A simple profound gift of Kundalini Yoga is meditation on the sound current, the pervasive pulse of spirit, which elevates both you and the child into the ecstasy of being human and being divine together.
To prepare for the journey, combine the practices of Long Ek Ong Kar, the shabad, Puta Mata Ki Asis, and Charan Japa. These techniques perfect the aura of the mother and the child and create a stable foundation for Infinity. Long Ek Ong Kar is also something that you should keep in your mother's kit for later in your child's life: practiced for 62 minutes a day it is said to cover the life of the child and protect her from harm, especially when it's self-inflicted.
Becoming a mother is a journey and along the way you confront things within yourself you never thought you would; things that, in fact, you didn't even know were there, and no one can truly prepare you for it.
You are the child's first teacher, and for the first three years of her life, your aura and the child's auric field are one. From the first day of the child's life, your life, your rhythm, even your waking and sleeping hours are no longer decided by you. The challenges you face are real. At times you are tested on every level: emotionally, physically and mentally. Yet at the same time you experience an overwhelming sense of devotion and unconditional love. This is the beginning of a long journey, the greatest journey you will ever take in your life.
Because the act of becoming a mother is so profound and challenging, it's essential to prepare yourself on every level. For the first 40 days after childbirth your body is going through an incredible adjustment. It is a vital time to nurture yourself so that you can be revitalized and rebalanced. For the child it is a vital time to bond. This child is learning how to be at home on the Earth. If you are relaxed, contained and content, the child will be able to move forward in fearlessness and strength.
Take care of you and keep the child in a serene environment so that the essential bonding of mother and child can be created. Many traumas in a child's life can be avoided if you make the time for this precious union now, in these first few weeks.
After the first 40 days, the child continues to need a mother who gives values and virtues, creates a nurturing and caring environment and brings a steady, calm hand and heart. Being present, deep listening and dedication to creating a future generation of givers and saints takes a great deal of commitment. Remember to keep your discipline strong and most importantly be patient with yourself and the greatest creation you will ever experience, your child.
Becoming a mother is the greatest sacrifice and the greatest blessing. May these practices enable you to bring to the world a new generation of leaders, healers, and stewards of the planet, who bless the Aquarian Age with the gift of your creativity, your devotion and your divinity.
