Yogic Living: What to do When You are in Crisis—A Personal SOS Guide

Life is filled with sudden shocks and crises. We all encounter unexpected change in our lives like accidents, the death of a loved one, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters—especially during this time of intense change as we transition from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age.

Kundalini Yoga offers many kriyas and meditations that help to keep us steady during times of crisis. Strong nerves and the breath of life give us the consciousness to rise above our limitations, find creative solutions, keep a calm and stable base, and offer help to others.

“Consciously ask your intuition to show you the path. Consciously ask your courage to face the calamity. Ask your grace to face the insecurity. Ask your breath of life to face the depression. Rise, rise and excel.”
–Yogi Bhajan, 6/30/94

Kundalini Yoga for Emotional Balance

Meditation to Prevent Freaking Out
If you are irritated, very depressed, in a weird mental state, start breathing from the right nostril. In 3 minutes you will be a different person. Exercising this ability is said to prevent nervous breakdowns.

The "Last Resort" Meditation
This meditation is for when life doesn't work for you, and you feel like you're going crazy.

Bringing Mental Balance
When you're at your wits' end, when you don't know what to do, when nothing else works, this meditation does!

Meditation for the Neutral Mind
The Neutral Mind opens the gate to that deep remembrance of the self and soul. The Neutral Mind lets all other thoughts be without disturbance to your constant inner light.

Gyan Mudra Kriya
Although this meditation looks simple, it works for many complications. When you do not know what to do, do this.
