What if you Being You is all that is needed to create a world of ease, grace, love, kindness, calmness, fulfillment and joy! Your True Self knows and remembers always, in Oneness, who you are, where you’ve come from, and where you’re going.
Intolerance and prejudice come from a limited mind which generates limited thinking. To create a world without such limitations requires individual consciousness to elevate to group consciousness, and continue expanding to global and universal consciousness.
How does this evolve? It begins with changing the world one mind, one heart at a time. We start within ourselves. We vibrate at the frequency our soul, mind, and consciousness creates while incarnated in this world. As we go through life, we affect our surroundings and all those we come in contact with. The more elevated we are, the more we uplift everything including ourselves!
"Your job is to heal the world and elevate and uplift everybody...Take a person from his lower self, from his ditch, and raise the pitch so he can be uplifted...Help keep everybody up." -Yogi Bhajan, 6-20-93
It’s really simple. There are effective ways to give yourself a new experience in your day-to-day existence; to elevate and expand your conscious awareness, open your heart, and know the oneness of all. One remarkably powerful way is through the practice of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. It is a yogic science and consciousness technology and it works! Instantly.
Individually we have our unique experiences. My earliest experience relating to how utilizing the technology of Kundalini Yoga can serve global awakening towards tolerance and acceptance began in high school. When I was a teenager I didn’t have standard prejudices. My upbringing was in a liberal environment that valued equality and encouraged relating to all without prejudice no matter color, race, religious beliefs, or economic status. I had friends with diverse family backgrounds and didn’t think anything of it.
In school, I wasn’t particularly clique driven either. However, I was subject to the more subtle biases that permeated the social culture there. I unconsciously had a narrow opening for who I would easily relate to. There were group classifications such as the jocks and the hippies or freaks. These multiple classifications encouraged separation and judgment rather than connection to the whole. Through more subtle values I found myself identifying more with one group and therefore judging and excluding those from other groups. It was an automatic unconscious response.
Then in the middle of high school I began practicing Kundalini Yoga and everything changed. Along with a general great feeling during and after class (more open, elevated and expanded), I began noticing things in a new and wonderful way. My social vision expanded—the aperture of my lens’ focus opened to a wide angle! I suddenly saw the light in all. My world view and focus broadened greatly. I connected with many more peers with superficial differences that no longer caused me to automatically judge and reject them. Life was much more fun and joyful!
Having been raised by two non-religious atheists—wonderful parents with good values—I felt resistance when my yoga teacher mentioned God. Then I began to have my own experience. From the opening and awakening experienced with Kundalini Yoga, I could see and feel this life force energy vibrating within me and within everything. It felt true and real and constant. I got it. God and Me, Me and God are One. And we are all One.
“Kundalini Yoga is not a religion. Religions come out of it. Kundalini Yoga is not a fad, and it's not a cult. It's a practice of experience of a person's own excellence which is dormant and which is awakened." –Yogi Bhajan, Master’s Touch
Through life, we get to enjoy the adventures of living in a world where not everyone vibrates in this way and we have the challenges of staying connected and elevated no matter what’s going on. The good news is that as we go along and keep up, more of us are waking up, and with the increase in awakening comes greater tolerance, acceptance, love and joy. Daily practice helps tremendously! Keep Up is the mantra for the Aquarian Age.
“All this creation, good and bad, yellow and brown, white and black, red and pink—has this all been created by any individual? The total creation is that of God and total creation is God, and to accept God is to accept total creation. And to accept the total creation is that of God requires sadhana, sadhana, sadhana.” –Yogi Bhajan, 7/5/81
