Meditation on Names of God

According to Kundalini Yoga, there is One God. And no matter what we call it, or how we define it or choose to relate, the world’s great traditions point to the same place. This is a meditation upon the names of God.

The Practice

Posture: Sit in a meditative posture.

Eyes: Close the eyes.

Music: Meditate on the various names of God in the Five Religion Chant on the Meditation Series Volume Two album by Mata Mandir Singh.

Continue for 5 minutes. To end, inhale and relax.

Comments:

A look around our collective psycho-social sphere suggests that we’ve internalized the myth of the separate self. It seems that everywhere, we fight with each other. We divide ourselves according to superficial lines—be they gendered, geographic, or religious.

The fight is between “I” and “Thou.” We are not all separate “I”s. We are all part of “Thou,” the all-encompassing One. We are spirit.
