Managed Energy Meditation

This kriya vitalizes and strengthens the etheric body and works to regulate the physical glands. A balanced glandular system regulates the emotions and allows the mind to experience divinity and actualized potential. With regular practice, this kriya will help bring the glandular system and the psyche into equilibrium, so that the system is regulated by the full self, and not just our fragmented neuroses. When the total self works together in harmony, that is the experience of ecstasy.

The Practice

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine. After the first 5 minutes, let the head, neck and shoulders completely relax down. Use no strength in any part of the body above the diaphragm, but keep the hands in place.

Mudra: Raise the right hand up to the base of the throat. With the thumb and pads of the fingers, press the points just below the collarbone protrusions (where the collarbone and the sternum meet; this is a reflex point for the thymus gland). Insert the fingers of the left hand into the bend of the left knee, palm against the thigh.

Eyes: Look forward. Then gradually close the eyes while visualizing the bubbles.

Breath: Make the mouth into an "O" and breathe two times per second as if blowing bubbles. Use the cheeks. After 5 minutes, begin to breathe normally and close the eyes.

After 2 more minutes let the head and shoulders drop. After 2 more minutes conclude the meditation.

Continue for 9 minutes total. To end, inhale deeply, exhale, and hold the breath out for 30 seconds. Relax.
