Living a Yogic Marriage ~ Guruka Singh and Guruka Kaur, NM (L/D) Fire Tent
The question arises: Why get married? Marriage is an institution which depends upon honoring the Word, but these days many marriages fall apart. So how can you have a successful marriage? A yogic marriage is a way of life in which a husband and wife compromise to face the time and space together. To be successful we need to go deeper and deeper. We need to have and use yogic tools. We will cover: Communication – listening and being heard; Commitment – the art and skill of keeping up; Children – adjusting your priorities and learning to compromise, and What to do when all else fails – Meditations and other techniques to move your relationship to the next level.
Guruka Singh and Guruka Kaur first met Yogi Bhajan in 1970 and were married in 1971. She also bakes the best homemade whole-grain bread ever tasted. They live together under the clear blue skies of New Mexico with their younger son, Gurushabd Singh and the amazing Espanola Ashram community.
