Brushing Your Teeth

A dentist will tell you all the benefits of brushing your teeth to keep your teeth and gums healthy. A yogi will agree and give you even more reasons to brush your teeth and clear your “monkey glands” for overall health.

monkey glands

During the night, your mouth turns into an incubator, warm, moist, and cozy. In that environment, bacteria have an orgy and they multiply like crazy.2 The coziest spot for the bacteria are two pockets in the throat called “monkey glands.”

Unless you get rid of that toxic accumulation first thing in the morning, you will swallow it with the first sip of liquid. So, to avoid poisoning yourself, use your toothbrush and reach way back to the root of your tongue until you gag and cough up that disease-producing mucous.2

Another benefit is that as you gag, it makes your eyes water, which helps preserve the eyesight.2

tooth powder

For cleaning the teeth and brushing the tongue to induce gagging, use the following mixture of astringent powders:

  • 1 part sea salt
  • 2 parts potassium alum (available from The Cleanse)

Potassium alum is also effective for preventing gum disease.1 You can keep the mixture in a re-used glass jar. Pour a little in the palm of your hand, then wet your toothbrush and dip it in. You can finish with your favorite toothpaste on your teeth, if you wish.
