The Benefits of Experience:

  • Gather valuable experiences, knowledge, and resources to bring home to share and teach in your own family and community.
  • Process, assimilate, and grow through writing, discussion, and group awareness activities.
  • Take advantage of leadership opportunities to share your skills, knowledge, and experience by participating in camp as a teacher, musician, healer, vendor, or group leader.
  • Be reminded of the “little people,” ages 0-3, as they share in some of our nurturing space with their mothers.
  • Embrace and expand your circle of gracious, loving supportive women by bringing your sisters, your daughters, your mothers, your partners, your friends and your yoga class.

Guru Ram Das Puri

Guru Ram Das Puri is the name given to a piece of land nestled on the edge of the Jemez Mountains, overlooking the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Chama River Valley in northern New Mexico.

Yogi Bhajan spoke about the extraordinary healing and transformation that occurs on this sacred land. He was told that tribes from both South and North America used to gather here to celebrate and participate in sacred healing. The tradition of healing and peace continued when the land was passed onto Yogi Bhajan in 1974.

For more about the history of Guru Ram Das Puri, see the article The Sacred Land of Guru Ram Das Puri (87KB PDF).

Meals

Meals are simple, delicious, and vegetarian, ranging from baked tofu and vegetables to a burrito bar complete with fresh salsa and guacamole. Many of our meals include one or all of the “Holy Trinity” spices: onions, garlic and ginger, which are said to keep the system invigorated and energized. At the time of registration, please indicate any special dietary needs you may have.

Enjoy evening concerts, open mikes and kirtan in the cozy Lunar Lounge
