Course Policies
3HO Events are drug free, cigarette free, alcohol free and meat free environments.
No pets are allowed at Ghost Ranch.
Let us know if you are a married couple so we can make sure you share a room together.
We reserve the right to request anyone disregarding course policies to leave the course.

Acclimating to the Environment
Ghost Ranch is located in Abiquiu, NM which is a dry high desert climate at an altitude of 6500 feet. It often takes two to three days to acclimate. It is very important to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration. Bring a water bottle and carry it with you. If you are coming from sea level we highly recommend using a electrolyte booster such as Emergen-C powder or any other liquid electrolyte (Gatorade or Recharge). It's a good idea to start hydrating the day before flying to NM. The temperature during the day usually gets quite warm (80s and 90s). Nights and early mornings cool off considerably (40s and 50s) so bring warm layers for morning Sadhana and evening classes.

Group Housing
Ghost Ranch provides dormitory style accommodations consisting of 2 bunk beds per room (4 people max).

Meals
You will be dining with the general conference population of Ghost Ranch. Their meals include meat, fish and eggs. These are not included in your meals during the course. If you are not a vegetarian
at this time, please take this into consideration and bring proper protein supplements such as protein power or protein bars. The protein sources included in our diet are a little tofu, tempeh, nuts, and dairy. This is an "all-American" ranch conference center. They do not provide specialty diets such as wheat free, dairy free, salt free, sugar free or enough options to sustain a raw foods diet.

Telephones
The Ghost Ranch telephone number is 505-685-4333. The Ranch switch board is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. After hours, callers may leave messages or contact the on-call staff person in case of an
emergency at ext. 101. Except in an emergency, messages will be posted in the Ghost Ranch office.
A dozen phones are located around the Ranch for guest use. You must dial '9' for an outside line and you may call collect or use calling cards for long distance calls. Calling cards are available for purchase at the Ghost Ranch sundry store.

Cars and Parking
There is parking available for people who are driving to the course.

Email and Cell Phone
Please prepare yourself to go off-line for the duration of your course. Ghost Ranch has email availability on a limited basis due to the few computers they have for the whole conference center. Cell Phones get very little reception if any at the Ghost Ranch so you will most likely not be able to use them there. If you must bring your cell phone, you will be asked to leave it in your room, turned off, during course activities.

Laundry Facilities
Washers, dryers (quarters needed) and clotheslines are available at the north end of the Ranch. Laundry soap and change are available at the Sundry store in front office. Irons may be borrowed from the front office.

Linens
Bed linens and towels are provided. Used towels may be exchanged for fresh ones as needed at the laundry center. Please do not use bed linens for anything other than intended, and do not take blankets or pillows out of your room.

Medical Policy
We have a basic first-aid facility on the course site. There is a medical clinic 14 miles south of Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu. There is also an emergency hospital forty minutes away in Espanola. Please bring
your medical insurance information with you in case of any unforeseen medical emergencies. If you are on medication of any kind, you need to inform the 3HO Events staff when you arrive. Please make sure you bring an adequate supply of your medication with you and do not stop taking your medicine under any circumstances during the course. Kundalini Yoga is a powerful ancient tradition, but should not be used as a substitute for regular and necessary medical care.
