The Meditative Mind
What you call a meditative mind is not meditation. People must have a technology of mind to cope with their basic human problems. Meditation should be taught in a way that people can come and share what they want to share without any commitment...

Quote of the Week
You have to talk to people and uplift them. It is not enough to be a saint. Now is the time to make others feel that way. Become a forklift.

3HO Servicemark is Available for You to Use
In 1969, Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO Foundation - Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization. Since then we have grown from a collection of separate beings into the 3HO® Global Community. The 3HO Global Community is known as an organization of people that serves, teaches, and works to uplift humanity. We serve by sharing the teachings as given to use by Yogi Bhajan. As a member of 3HO, the use of the 3HO Servicemark allows you to reach out to people with the integrity and goodwill of the 3HO Global Community as your calling card.

Using a Mala for Meditation
A mala is simple, effective meditative tool which can help to reduce stress, and enhance wisdom, patience, and health. A mala consists of 108, 54, or 27 beads strung on silk thread with one larger bead, called the Guru bead, from which tassel hangs. The tassel symbolizes a thousand lotus petals.
The Use of Different Fingers with the Mala.
Each finger relates to a different part of the brain. By running the mala over the first segment of each finger, between the tip of the finger and the first knuckle, you create a different result.
• Index Finger (Jupiter): wisdom, knowledge, and prosperity.
• Middle Finger (Saturn): patience.
• Ring Finger (Sun): health, vitality, and strong nervous system.
• Little Finger (Mercury): communication skill, and intelligence.

Healing Recipe
Avocado Aspic
1 tbsp Agar-agar flakes
1/2 Cup Water
1 medium ripe Avocado
2 tbsp Honey
1 Cup plain fresh yogurt
2 tbsp Lemon juice
Combine agar-agar and water in a saucepan and boil one minute. Allow to cool one minute. Pour into a blender and whip together with remaining ingredients. Pour into a lightly oiled 2-cup mold and chill. Serves 2.
NOTE: If you do not have access to agar-agar flakes, you may use one envelope unflavored gelatin (agar-agar is strictly vegetarian, gelatin is not). You also do not need a blender, as the whole mixture can be blended by hand. Serves 2.

Sat Nam,
After four months of absence I am back in the United States, in New York City. It is always a challenge adjusting being back home from visiting other countries. Just 3 hours after my landing in New York, I was back at work at my uncle’s café in Manhattan. It has been non stop for me since.
As a result of the travel and rapid return to work, my body, mind, and spirit have been under pressure and as a result I have been experiencing stress. So with feeling the burden on my shoulders and a bit of pressure on my chest, I turned to the most effective remedy that I know, Kundalini Yoga.
I found this meditation online that I wanted to share with you: "Meditation for Stress" from Gurucharan Singh Khalsa. Originally uploaded by Gurumustuk Singh, this video is in English with Spanish subtitles. I hope you will find this video as helpful as I did.
Warm greetings from New York City; let me know if you are in town.
In service, En servicio, In servizio, In de dienst, No serviço,
Nirmal Singh
