From the 3HO CEO – July

Sat Nam,

Welcome to the new version of Aquarian Times, now the new 3HO monthly e-publication. In the fall of last year, we asked you what type of information you wanted to receive, how you would like to receive it, and how often. 3HO Global Community members from around the world responded and told us that you wanted to hear from us every month, in an e-publication, and these are the top items you requested:

  • Yogi Bhajan Lectures
  • The What’s New section giving you timely and interesting information on new programs and services available for you to get connected to the 3HO Global Community of Living Yoga
  • Kundalini Yoga Sets and Meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan®
  • Listings of 3HO Global Meditations and Global Community Events
  • Stories and news about Kundalini Yoga Communities around the world
  • Healthy recipes and lifestyle tips
  • Eco-3HO News: sustainability and how you can support Mother Earth
  • New music releases and free mp3 downloads from Spirit Voyage – thank you to our friends and partners at Spirit Voyage
  • Numerology forecasts
  • Articles on the power of gemstones

Based upon your requests, we are sending you the information you want in a more reader friendly version.  We are sending it to you more frequently, and in a format that is easy to forward to your yoga students and friends, and to add to your own web page (Twitter and Facebook options coming soon). We would love to hear your feedback on these new changes and any new suggestions that you have. Please send your comments to GuruTeraK@AquarianTimes.com. Another very popular request was for Aquarian Times to be available in multiple languages. Although there are several articles in the current issue in both Spanish and Italian we are working on becoming more inclusive with additional languages.

“Happiness is your birthright.” ~ Yogi Bhajan

I have been thinking about this month’s theme since May. How can we make the choice to be happy and at the same time say that the ultimate state in which happiness resides is just by being? My thoughts have led me to the idea that the way we choose to be happy is by living in deep contact with the Self, and that living in deep contact with our Self leads to Self-realization. The state of Self-realization, or self awareness, is happiness. So, while happiness is a state of just being ourselves—and the key to happiness is just being—it must be chosen as the focus of our lives.
How to do this? For me the answer came quickly; do what I love, do the things that I experience happiness doing, do them every day and as much as possible. I decided to make a short list of some of these things where I experience happiness so that they become more of a daily focus in my life.

I experience happiness when I:

  • Wish happiness for others
  • Give to others
  • Serve and help others
  • Have morning Bhajan time (some call this sadhana)
  • Spend time with Mother Earth
  • Have cuddle and play time with animals and help animal creatures in need
  • Free form dance, anywhere, any time
  • Laugh, especially so hard that I cry
  • Eat healthy foods
  • Read Dr. Seuss books
  • Watch movies and eat popcorn
  • Travel
  • Meet new people and sit back and just people watch
  • Eat dark chocolate
  • Listen to music that moves my soul
  • Visit day spas and soak in natural hot springs or my bath tub at home
  • Do anything unexpected, surprising myself
  • Am being creative: I love writing and photography, and making my own home decorations, and beautifying my environments
  • Spend time with my best friends; this includes peanut hours with the girls
  • Learn something new that inspires me
  • Make peace with anger and let go of what no longer serves the best of me
  • Love. Just love and choose love beyond fear and doubt.
  • Sharing and speaking from my heart

“Each experience must lead to your happiness and grace.” –Yogi Bhajan

Wishing you a wonderful, blissful, prosperous, expansive, and transformational summer with healthy, happy, and holy blessings in all that you do.

With love,

Bhajan Kaur
