Healthy, Happy, Holy WOMEN
According to the 3HO lifestyle, a woman is referred to as a "Shakti" which means Primal Creative Power. As a woman you are fundamentally equipped with this creative principle of the Universe. When you relate to your true self then you tap into this well of unlimited resources. You experience your power; you begin to realize the depth of your own strength and wisdom; you witness the power of your prayer to manifest. You are self-cleansing, self-regenerating, self-illuminating, self-rejuvenating. Yogi Bhajan dedicated much of his teachings specifically to women with the understanding that women have the power to change the world one family at a time.
This Summer at Women's Camp
Happy Birthday, Yogi Bhajan! We thank you for sharing the women’s teachings with us. We have become women of courage, nobility and grace. We excel in our lives, connected with our Soul, supporting and inspiring our partners, our children and our communities. We celebrate your birth and will share a few events that were manifested from your inspiration.
Women-In-Training
The 130 women who attended Women-in-Training Camp at Shakti Valley agreed the move up to Ram Das Puri was PERFECT! The healing force of the land enhanced the experience of Kundalini Yoga and the teachings. One woman said that her entire body and mind dropped the hectic bustle of rush-hour traffic and back-to-back meetings. She could deeply be with her Soul as she meditated.
We were blessed with idyllic weather with temperature in the 80s, occasional refreshing rains and welcoming breezes. During the day we enjoyed the skies showing off a spectrum of blues and greens with some fluffy white clouds skidding around. And the darkened new-moon heavens boasted crystal clear skies studded with brilliant stars, constellations and planets. A few women heard the words of Kirtan Sohila as they were humbled under the night’s show: The stars are your studded pearls.
The day’s schedule was packed with classes and activities from Sadhana to the Sacred Healing Walk. Women’s Camp is very grateful to the team of teachers who shared the spirit of Kundalini Yoga and Yogi Bhajan. The daily afternoon classes, based on Yogi Bhajan’s 1983 Women’s Camp lectures, The Invincible Woman, inspired women this summer to truly feel invincible!
Khalsa Youth Camp (KYC) and Women’s Camp harmonized their planning, organization and programs. Thirteen KYC children had mothers who attended Women’s Camp, providing mutual benefits to all. Most of these mothers will be bringing their children to KYC next summer when they attend Women’s Camp. (Or we could say that these 13 children will make sure that their mothers will attend Women’s Camp so that they can return to KYC.)
Hari Nam Simran Kaur, the Women-In-Training Camp Coordinator, along with her immediate staff, Sarb Sarang Kaur, Pritpal Kaur, Zoe and Siri Dharma Kaur, did a wonderful job as we transitioned to this new chapter of Women-In-Training Camp Española. We also honor all Missal Leaders, Service & Seva Scholarships and especially our chef, Gurubani Kaur. The supportive assistance from the Summer Solstice and the Ram Das Puri staffs made the preparation of Shakti Valley and Women’s Camp straightforward.
Women-In-Training events are growing around the globe. Visit www.women.3HO.org for details on Women-In-Training events in Vancouver, B.C.; Mexico; France; Toronto; California; Italy; Greece; and more.
Conscious Pregnancy
From the 120th day before her child is born, all the experiences of the mother form the unconscious foundation of her child. She is the first teacher as she nurses and nurtures her child. Yogi Bhajan spoke about how we educate our self about every subject with limited training for the most important phase of life: parenting!
The KRI-approved Conscious Pregnancy Teacher Training offers women Yogi Bhajan’s teachings for conscious relationships, conception, pregnancy, birth and the first 40 days of a child’s life. The 13-day training is thoroughly packed full with information, personal experience, Yogi Bhajan video lectures, birth videos and practicum experiences.
This July the 17 Kundalini Yoga teachers from Finland, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Taiwan and the United States who attended the Conscious Pregnancy Training in Española created a trusting bond with each other.

I AM Divine
“There is only one shield which you can fight anything: The thought that, “I am Divine.”
It is a law of cosmology into the essence of the circumstances and that of the psyche and the magnetic field, in the operation and the orbit in which as a human person, your magnetic field and biorhythm have to coincide.
The moment a woman creates the thought, “I am Divine,” she is shielded. There is nothing more to it; there’s nothing like it. Thought!
Because this universe is a thought. God is a thought. Man is a thought. Woman is a thought. Passion is a thought. Compassion is a thought. Every thought must grow into an emotion, a feeling, and a desire. But whenever a woman calls upon herself with this affirmation that “I am Divine” in the essence of the psyche in a macro-consciousness, the micro-situation is immediately exalted and without your feeling or without any special evidence, you will find you are protected.”
